Since I finished my airline cabin crew life, and returned to a „regular“ living life in 2010, I was being asked xyz times by various people on how to travel here and there, what to see at the destinations, how to become a cabin crew for Middle Eastern airline, how was that the job like, how is Dubai, which destinations I liked the most, how was the living abroad… Hence, I decided to put it all together and at the same time to try to build this blog, as travel is my passion, and so maybe develop this project later to something even bigger.
All in all, my primary goal is to be here for you, my readers and to consult you with all my resources. I want to pass on to you some of my experiences which I find interesting to mention, so that you can see one point of view; it is always better to read some personal experiences rather than typical guides like „Top 10 things to do in…“. I will give you some tips and advises naturally, just I will try to be different from existing travel blogs out there, since Internet is a free zone and there is plenty of material to find and read. But not all of them are that simple, easy to read, or maybe not all are reaching to your preferences and contain the right thing you are searching for.
Why name the Classy Explorer?
I was searching for the right name for weeks, and I can tell you it is one of the hardest thing to set up when starting the blog or website, since it will be like your own brand, difficult to change later after you paid registration fee, so it has to be a good one from the start. I just knew I wanted to have root in word “explore” because it refers to a lot of things, like exploring in travel, learning new things, advising those who want to travel, planning…There are bunch of already taken domain names, so it is quite hard to find out you can not get the one you like, when you thought you came up with a good name. Finally, I was thinking what word would explain me personally and as an explorer in general, and it was the word “classy” – as I am neat, love to be elegant and I love smart and fancy stuff.
I was never a backpacker, nor a constant travel-around-the-world globe trotter, I also didn’t leave home to live a nomadic life – but I did travel more than an average person, while working as a cabin crew and also on my own. I like to say I have “air in my blood”, since I love to travel by air mainly, to feel that excitement of take off (which is my favorite part of the flight).
I am writing the blog in English and not in Serbian from one very good reason, and that is to reach more of you guys. English today is like knowing your name, MUST know, and if you want to travel around the world, it is advisable to know at least basics. Therefore I will use simple sentences with clear wording, understandable for common users. I am also not the native so I might be making some mistakes as well, but please do not judge me for that.
With this blog I am trying to reach out to those who have the same wish or passion as I did and still do – to see places, experience new things, enjoy little things in life… also want to travel the world, maybe have just a short stay somewhere and I will show you the way to do it as being a cabin crew…by showing you interesting stuff about it. Maybe you will see yourself in me, or I will give you some ideas or plans for future.
I want to show you, teach you, consult you so do not hesitate to contact me here.
Why would you want me to consult you at the first place – me the Classy Explorer – because I did travel the world, I visited 50 countries, 130 cities, I worked for one of the best airlines in the world, lived in three countries, studied, lived and worked in international environments, worked for a successful travel agency and did marketing for it, plus I am good at planning and organizing, love putting things to be as perfect as they can be, I love doing this blog, developing myself in consulting and you can help me being even better in it.
Experientia docet. Experto crede. – Experience teaches. Trust the expert.
And my advice is free of charge now so why not use this opportunity immediately.
